What are your options ?

Option 1

permeable paving and gravel

These products allow the water to permeate throughto and into the ground naturally

Permeable block paving requires a different sub-base structure and materials to make sure it works efficiently

Option 2

non-permeable solutions with soak aways

It is still possible to install a driveway using any standard paving products and meet the new legislation

If the ground is suitable, all you need to do is ensure that the design includes suitable drainage slopes and channels to make sure water ges directed to a effective soakaway or soft landscaped area (flower bed,grassed area or planter) In most cases this is the best option

Option 3

non-permeable solutions without soakaways

This is only acceptable if the paved area is less than 5m2, for example on a short set of paved wheel tracks, for anything larger planning permission will be required
